The inception of Emirel Farm is rooted in a deep-seated passion for agriculture, community development, and sustainable farming practices.
As a commitment to tangible difference in the lives of local farmers and the broader community, the founder of Emirel Farm embarked on a journey to create a model of agricultural excellence and resilience.
We envisioned a farming enterprise that not only produced high-quality pork but also embodied the principles of sustainability and environmental stewardship.
Central to the creation of Emirel Farm was the desire to empower local farmers. Recognizing the challenges faced by small-scale farmers, including limited access to resources, training, and markets, the founder sought to establish a farm that would serve as a hub of knowledge, support, and opportunity. Emirel Farm was conceived as a place where farmers could learn, grow, and thrive together.
A passion for innovation and excellence in farming practices has been a key motivator for the founder. We are determined to implement cutting-edge technologies, best practices, and research-driven approaches to ensure the highest standards of animal welfare, productivity, and sustainability. This dedication to excellence has positioned Emirel Farm as a leading farm in the agricultural community.

At Emirel Farm, we implement a pig banking model that offers high-end, automated infrastructure to the community, allowing farmers to rear their pigs at a pay-as-they -grow rate of Kshs 20 per day. This system enables farmers to provide the necessary care and management for their pigs within a controlled environment. In addition to the lease-to-rear infrastructure, Emirel Farm provides a mobile-based platform to rural farmers that offers free pig management services, including reminders for injections, feed ratio changes, and disease management. The platform also facilitates last-mile access to quality feeds and subsidized veterinary services.
Emirel Farm's innovative biointensive pig banking and agrotech technology has created significant, long-lasting change in rural pig farming. We have achieved an 80% reduction in carbon emissions per kilogram of pork produced. This significant environmental benefit is due to the efficient use of resources and the repurposing of all pig waste for community biogas refills, demonstrating a commitment to sustainable farming practices.
